THE SCATTERED SHEEP BECAME ONE FLOCK…
Bro. Bong Lozano

One sunny morning after my class, I happened to be in a car going home with other students. Some one in the jeepney invited me to attend their Bible study in the afternoon of that same day under the acacia tree in our school campus (NDU). I asked the student of her religion and she answered me, I am a Born again Christian. My eyebrow met when I heard the answer. I just nodded my head; there at that moment, I asked my self, “What is in the Bible that they are going to study?” So, when I arrived home I immediately went to my room and got a copy of our Bible. I opened it casually and I found my eyes reading Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Moreover, I asked my self, “What does the message mean?” In searching the answers to my questions, I was able to organize a group of young students at my age for a Bible sharing and study on the grassy ground of our school campus ministry. We were two that time. We first met for bible sharing and study then the next meeting five and gradually, we were increasing in number in the succeeding meetings. We came from different family backgrounds, attitudes, personal characteristics, walks of life, color, and courses in the university. The group became an inspiration to me because when the group started I never stopped studying the contents and words written in the Holy Scriptures. My relationship with Jesus became deeper and deeper and I love to be with Him always. Almost twice a week we had our bible sharing and study. We have experience changes in our lives and inspired daily. It is as if we wanted to be with one another always. The word in the Holy Scripture is active in us. It became a devotion in my daily life, to read and reflect on the scriptures. There I realized that slowly the questions in my mind were answered. The words of God in the Holy Scriptures became my daily bread. My life started to become more meaningful with the Lord and with my brothers and sisters in the group who gave me strength and inspiration. Our members started to grow in number. Grow in faith and love for Jesus and His words in the Holy Scriptures. We started our
mission in the different schools in Cotabato City and North Cotabato area by going to schools and inspire them to read the bible and study it in accordance to the Catholic Church’s teaching.
In July 11, 1986 after having a weekly Bible study and sharing since the opening of the school year, we went to the convent of the Marist Fathers in Vilo Subdivision, Notre Dame Avenue to meet Fr. Laurence Duffy and invited him to be our first spiritual adviser and oriented him of what the Catholic Holy Scripture Group is all about. And in July 14, 1986, he formally accepted our invitation as our spiritual adviser. From then on the CHSG started to grow.

We started as students of Notre Dame University in the year 1986 with no background yet of what the Holy Scripture is. It was my peer and a high school friend, Jessie De Vera (who died last December 29, 2007 of bone cancer, may he rest in peace) who helped me a lot in inviting his friends for a bible study and sharing, in the grassy ground under the acacia tree of Notre Dame University Campus Ministry where the CBSG (Catholic Bible Study Group) started. From CBSG, Father Larry, our spiritual adviser suggested that it will be changed to CHSG or Catholic Holy Scripture Group which is known till today.
We found out later that the Holy Trinity is in our organization, C stands for Christ, HS for Holy Spirit and G for God, that is why we can not change the acronym of the group.
We started with two Jessie and my self, Jessie’s friends came. Alma Pioquinto, Elizabeth Ong (Ms. Engineering in 1980’s of NDU), Shirly Yap (who won the second runner up in Search for Mutya ng Cotabato in 1980’s), and my neighbor, Lola Mary Cabagbag who is close to me,
And later, Arlene Gamata,.Sarah, Ramon Villanueva, Annabel Roda and her twin sister Liza and other classmates and friends joined us twice a week for our bible study and sharing every Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 p.m during our activity period. We did not have a regular place for our Bible study but we did have regular day and time for the said activity. Sometimes we were in the Notre Dame University Campus grounds -- “rain or shine”. We were not yet recognized that time by the campus ministry office and were branded as forefront of a rebel group. We conducted many spiritual activities for the growth of each member like, CHSG Full pledge Membership Seminar, Flock Assembly, Home Bible service, Death Service, Birthday Service and Harana early in the morning, Sick and Prayer Healing, Recollections and Retreat, Mass sponsor and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

The group as an infant organization experienced lots of difficulties in the same as a baby as he tries to stand without the help of a father or mother. No place to go for shelter and nobody taking care of. A baby who is looking for a father or mother to be loved and cared. That is what we felt during those days of infancy. We were all hungry and thirsty for God and His words. That is what a CHSGian must possess, Hungry for Gods Words and His love. Though we experienced lots of trials and difficulties, we were happy and we rejoiced because we know the presence of God through His Holy Spirit is in us. We can feel it and we saw changes happening in our lives as we study Gods words. We shared our laughter and tears happiness and sadness to one another as we meet in our bible study and sharing. We meet and share Gods words and His goodness to us as if we are real brothers and sisters. We were true to ourselves as we gather in the name of Jesus. The CHSG became our second family, and God is our Father, Jesus our brother and Mary as our mother. The CHSG as our second family is where we can lean on whenever we feel that our world is turning upside down; it is our shelter whenever storm is in our life. The CHSG became a part of our life. We know that Jesus is with us. That He is alive and is moving in our group, that Jesus is with us. We felt the love and care of God in us through our brothers and sisters. That we are not alone we are a family, we are the flock of Jesus. The sheep once scattered in the wilderness but have found and became a flock of Jesus the good shepherd. Whenever we meet, Joy and happiness can be seen in our eyes and through our hugs and smiles, we are confident that we are not alone. We found the Flock of Jesus. We experienced Gods Love and Care; we found peace, joy and happiness in the CHSG, the family, The Flock of the Lord. The group was only recognized after a year. In 1987 CHSG was formally recognized after submitting all the requirements to the Office of Students Affairs and Campus Ministry of the school. We were all happy in Praising God and very thankful for answering our prayers at last. The CHSG is now a registered and recognized by the school. We went room to room and can invite freely our friends to join us. Alleluia!!! Our number increased. Praise God! After Fr. Larry Duffy, SM, Fr. Ramon Bernabe, OMI, Mrs. Trinidad Concepcion and Miss. Alma Zurita became our spiritual advisers, who really helped us in pursuing our objectives and mission.
As I looked back, this story of calling and coming back of the lost sheep who heard the voice of The Shepherd, “Come follow me… I will make you fishers of men”. Mark 16:15 became our mission, “Go into all the world and preach the Goodnews to all creation”. We all prayed and thank God for the mission He wants the CHSG to do for Him. To be His lips and voice so that His words will be heard through out the world. It makes each and every member a challenge and to make us going. We believe that preaching Gods words is not only through words but by heart and action. Telling the world, how much God loves the world by sending His Son Jesus even to the extent that He suffered, died and He rose again for us. As members of the CHSG we experienced this love and we want that the next generation will experience the constant and unconditional love of God in Jesus, by Reading, Studying, Sharing, and Living the Words of God from the Holy Scripture.
The CHSG is not a perfect family, not a perfect organization, nor having perfect members. We were subject to trials and tests. We passed through difficulties and dark times too. Members were strucked with personal, family, emotional, financial, spiritual and relational problems. During those years even before we were recognized by the campus ministry we were tested in fire. But we were still one in heart, in mind and spirit that we are Gods family and we should be strong and must hold on to Jesus, whatever may happen. With all the smiles, love care and concern through the advice of our brothers and sisters we gain strength and inspiration to go on.
In 1989 to 1990, I call it the critical years, because these years were the years to part our ways. We have to leave the school. We have to move to our next stage of life. We have to graduate. We have to say goodbye to our brothers and sisters. We do not know our future,
where we are going to, what we will be and when will we meet again. We will be missing one another. But we put everything in the hands of God, and pray “thy will be done”
After all, our memories in college and in the CHSG will remain in our hearts and mind and it will be a marked, the sheep that was once scattered and lost became one flock, tamed, being cared and loved is now given the mission by the Shepherd to “Go into all
the world and preach the Goodnews to all creation”. The experience of Gods love and care will be forever till death.
From two to hundreds of members from 1986 to 1990 is a good start in fulfilling the mission in Mark 16:15. We will be once again scattered not as lost sheep but as missionaries of the Word for the world. Not as students but young professionals,
equipped with knowledge and wisdom, filled with Gods Holy Spirit. Most of our members became teachers, some are nurses, business men, and some went abroad to work.
The mission is just starting. CHSG chapters were organized in other schools, particularly in Notre Dame of Cotabato Boys Department, were I worked as a faculty member and campus ministry coordinator and Sis. Evangeline Cadelina my co teacher who helped me organize the group in the year 1990 and have hundreds of members till 1993. It was Bro. Ramon Villanueva, Sis. Evangeline Cadelina and Sis. Haydee Asumbra who helped me in 1991 in making the CHSG as number 1 most active organization in the campus with our CHSG campus flock officers. It was Bro. Glenn Lubguban (who graduated as 1st honorable mention in 1993) who was our first and last campus shepherd, Bro. Joel Cadelina, Bro. Mark Chavez (who graduated as valedictorian 1994), Bro. Bernard Carmelo, Bro. Arnold Baluyos, Bro. Joel Guanzon, Bro. Michael Macion (who graduated as Valedictorian in 1995), Bro. Alfred Songcayaoun, Bro. Alpher Caingles, Bro. Raymond Gagwis, Bro. Dominador Baldivino and many more became our active CHSG members. In Notre Dame of Cotabato for Girls Department were Sis. Alma worked as guidance counselor; she started to organize the group. It was Sis. Feline Lubguban (sister of Bro. Glen) who became the first shepherdess of the campus and one of the active members that time was Sis. Yvette dela Torre and later Sis. Mae Silva became one of the most supportive member of the group. We went to Notre Dame of Pikit and Kabacan National High School to evangelize. In 1993 I transferred at Notre Dame Village High School and became the first campus ministry coordinator of a public school. Many students became active members. It was Sis. Francisnhel Cabarce (First shepherdess of the CHSG in the campus), Sis. Jean Makilang, Sis. Leah Reoyan, Sis. Rinalyn Cadorna, Sis. Joy Anne Sugabo, Bro. Pedro Lapatis, Bro. Joselito Cabonegro and his Sister Rio Cabonegro and hundreds of students became part of the flock, till 1997.In Ocampo College, Sis. Francisnhel Cabarce became one of the employees of the school and started to invite students for Bible study and sharing in the campus. St.Benedict College, San Vicente Academy and Rojas High School were among the blessed and chosen schools to hear Gods word Then we launched the first General Flock Activity one of the days in July 1993, in the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto auditorium with Fr. Dick Pommier, OMI, which is, “CHSG: Against the Current…” which aims to bring the youth to Jesus and not to follow the fad and the temptation of modernization that destroys the morality of man.. It was attended by hundreds of members of the CHSG chapters in the different schools in Cotabato City. In 1993 we were given a break by the management of the radio station under Mr. Dominador De Vera, Jr (manager and a family friend) the radio program every Sunday from 6:00 to 7:00 am on DXRO AM of the Nation Broadcasting Corporation entitled, “The Exodus” hosted by me and Bro. Pedro Lapatis and Bro.Luis Mansano. We conducted Bible study and sharing on the air and played praise and worship songs. It was an inspiring and challenging apostolate work to spread the gospel to all creation. We received positive and inspiring feed backs from our listeners and many were blessed and healed through the program. We stopped the show due to change of management in the station and we were not given free on air program.
The parable of the sower came true. Some seeds fell on the path, rocky ground, thorn bushes and others in good soil (Matthew 13:18-23)
Some members got married, went abroad, went to other places until we lost contact and communication with them. In 1997, the CHSG slowly took its silence and went into its “Dark moments”. No activities, no communication, members are nowhere to be found. Till news came that most of our members have encountered tragic experiences, storms, immoralities, unhappy relationships, broken families, change of religion and even death. We became back sliders, we forget about God. We forget the Words of Wisdom and Love of God, the Holy Scripture. Some of us became materialistic, worldly and violent. All of these experiences are written in the Holy Scriptures, that “gold is tested by fire” and that the followers will experience sufferings, persecutions and even death. These are some of the crosses the CHSG’ians carried.

As I continue to hear so many bad news about our members’ experiences in life, and some of them I was able to chit-chat after a long period of time, I asked my self, “What have I done to the family of God? What have I done to the Sheep Jesus have gathered? What have I done to them as their shepherd? Where am I, when they need me? It is a big responsibility and I am answerable to God when I die. I started to open my bible again and it so happen in Gods guidance and inspiration it was in Ezekiel 34:11-31. It is about the Good Shepherd. I felt like being poured with cold iced water, my tears came falling down my cheek. The Lord through my conscience whispered, “Bong what have you done to my sheep? Where is my flock? I cried alone in a locked door of my room and talked to God, “Lord forgive me. Help me to gather your sheep, and shepherd them again, if it is your will. Let your will be done”.
God inspired me once more to call the sheep, the members living with in the city of Cotabato, by using the latest technology, through the cell phone in texting them which we do not have 21 years ago. And most of them positively replied and answered Gods call for an elders meeting. For the first time after 10 years of “Dark moments” and silence, it
was in the year 2007; I am not certain of the exact date, we the sheep that was scattered to see and experience the world went back and answered Gods call, met at the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto Session hall. It was a day with the Lord and with Sis. Alma Pioquinto Rodriguez, Bro.Michael Macion, Bro. Ramon Villanueva, Bro. Joel Cadelina, Sis. Yvette Dela Torre Diestro and myself. We met with happiness, joy, excitement and tears for after 10 years here we are, gathering again for the Lord, reminiscing the past and planning for the rebirth of the Catholic Holy Scripture Group. Another meeting was held at the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao. It was Bro. Michael Macion, M.D, Bro. Alfred Songcayaoun, M.D, Bro. Arnold Baluyos, Bro. Dominador Baldivino, and Sis. Yvette dela Torre Diestro and I were present. It was succeeded with another meeting in one of the restaurants in the city after the July 14, 2007 21st year anniversary mass of the CHSG at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, presided by Fr. David Procalla, DCC. The elders who attended increased in number.
And in December 30, 2007 we had the first recollection of the elders with Bro. Johnny Gabe, our recollection master, a Muslim by birth and was converted to Catholicism and now a charismatic preacher based in Metro Manila. It was attended by eight of us, Bro.Michael Macion M.D, Sis. Alma Pioquinto Rodriguez, Bro. Ramon Villanueva, Sis.Wife Mary Luz Pineda Lozano, Sis. Yvette Dela Torre Diestro, Bro. Bernard Carmelo, Sis. Lourdes Fernandez, Sis. Evie Arabis Cabulanan Again its another sign that the Lord is really working and it is His will that the sheep must be in one flock, the CHSG. It was a great experience and a challenge for us to help one another in gathering the sheep to go back in the sheep fold of the Lord, the CHSG. Though we are all

professionals and have our own families, we still gave time and effort in information dissemination and in contacting other members that the CHSG is revived.
In January 26, 2008, the CHSG Notre Dame Village National High School were activated and have about 20 Fourth year student members who are always attending the Regular Bible Study and sharing every Friday in the classroom at 4:00 p.m. Then, we start to extend the group in San Vicente Academy, a private high school, for a monthly Bible study and sharing, through the help of Mrs. Gamboa, the Campus Ministry Coordinator of the school with the approval of the Principal. It was Sis. Eden Enderes who became our first shepherdess at NDVNHS after the “Dark moments” of the CHSG. We were known again in the campus because for the first time Sis. Eden and another member joined the Bible Quiz on the air through DXMS radio, and won first place against other public schools in the city. We were all proud and thank God for His blessings and guidance. The CHSG members took their oath as members in front of Fr. David Procalla, DCC during one of his masses in February 2008. In July 12, 2008, we celebrated the 22nd Year anniversary of the CHSG with the theme: “Go and Make a Difference…”It was a very successful celebration with Fr. David Procalla, DCC, the group’s spiritual adviser started with a mass, followed by praise and worship. Bible sharing and other activities were headed by the CHSG Notre Dame Village National High School chapter and the group of elders, like Sis. Alma Pioquinto Rodriguez, Bro. Ramon Villanueva, Bro. Bernard Carmelo, Bro. Joel Cadelina, Bro. Alfred Songcayaoun, Bro. Michael Macion and many more which I can not recall.

And now, we reach up to more or less 50 members who are actively present in most of our activities and about a dozen of members who are not present physically but who are supporting us in prayers and in financial aspects. Most active members came from the Notre Dame Village National High School in Cotabato City, under my care and supervision. Regular Bible study and sharing every Friday, Prayer Assembly and Spiritual Growth Seminar were being conducted for the members of the new generation CHSG members. In August of 2008, the CHSG extended the Bible study and sharing to the students of Rojas National High School, under Sis. Jean Makilang. St. Francis Academy in Upi, Maguindanao is being handled by Sis. Yvette Dela Torre Diestro, San Vicente Academy, under the supervision of Bro. Joel Cadelina, Notre Dame of Cotabato,

under Bro. Ramon Villanueva and Sis. Evangeline Cadelina, Notre Dame University with Bro. Bernard Carmelo. Informally, our International CHSG chapters are having Bible study and sharing, in Qatar, Saudi Arabia under Sis. Francisnhel Cabarce, Alberta, Canada under Bro. Dominador Baldivino, and in London, Sis. Shirly Yap Gamboa and Sis. Jannette Dela Cruz.
Locally, we have launched different activities like, Daily scripture reading, mass, confession, visitation to the blessed sacrament, rosary, Divine Mercy, Bible study and sharing, flock prayer assembly, recollection, healing and music ministry singing practices and apostolate works like, street children feeding, sick, jail and home for the aged visitation. The regular flock prayer assembly is scheduled every 4th Saturday of the month in Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral, Bishop Smith hall at 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
And on April 2-4, 2009, the first Full pledge membership Seminar, (now called Spiritual Renewal Seminar) was held at Divine Mercy Retreat House, Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao. Seventeen (17) new full pledge members attended and have completed the SRS Batch 1. Sixteen of them are graduates of Notre Dame Village National High School and one (1) teacher from Ocampo College. They are the first batch of the New Generation who called themselves “The Seven-Teens” They are the following: Sis. Phoebe J. Albon, Sis. Charmaine Belle L. Ammong, Bro. James Aldrin A. Anito, Sis. The CHSG Constitution and By Laws was revised, finalized, amended and approved by the Flock of Elders on June 3, 2009 in Las Hermanas Restaurant, Sinsuat Avenue, Cotabato City and this is a big boom for the organization to move forward, to soar high
To Go and Make a Difference.
On June 6, 2009 Fr. Richard Weixelman, OMI an American priest the chaplain of the Divine Mercy Retreat house of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat municipality was invited to be one of the CHSG co advisers and accepted the said invitation on the same day in the presence of Sis. Kareen Eliaca, Sis.Juvy Villarubia, Sis. Alyn Parages, Sis. Christine Joy Martinez and Sis. Anna Mae Tan. The next move will be the submission of the Constitution and By Laws to the Bishop of the Archdiocese of Cotabato for recognition and approval
.
The fulfillment of the Holy Scripture and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is true and is on its way. As the sheep belongs to the flock, the flock belongs to Jesus the Good Shepherd. When He calls, let us listen to Him, for the sheep knows His Shepherds voice, Go back wherever we are, and become One Flock in Gods Sheepfold.

And as the mission of the CHSG continues, many souls will be saved and Jesus will be brought in every heart of every man. As the CHSG 22nd year of proclaiming the Goodnews of salvation, theme says “Go and make a Difference…” As long as Jesus is the Good Shepherd, the sheep who belongs to the flock of Jesus, will never be lost, the mission will continue. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15. Jesus promised us before He ascended to heaven, “…I will be with you always to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20. You are blessed because you were called, chosen and given the rights to become a child of God. You belong to the scattered sheep… now became one of the sheep of the flock of Jesus. You made the history and a part of the story of the Scattered Sheep became One Flock.

The CHSG story and mission continues…to the next generation and the next…to the end of the age……see you in our final destiny, as we hear His voice calling our names, to be with Him, our Good Shepherd as one flock again …in Heaven….AMEN!!!!

How Did the Catholic Church Get Her Name?
by Kenneth D. Whitehead
The Creed which we recite on Sundays and holy days speaks of one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. As everybody knows, however, the Church referred to in this Creed is more commonly called just the Catholic Church. It is not, by the way, properly called the Roman Catholic Church, but simply the Catholic Church.
The term Roman Catholic is not used by the Church herself; it is a relatively modern term, and one, moreover, that is confined largely to the English language. The English-speaking bishops at the First Vatican Council in 1870, in fact, conducted a vigorous and successful campaign to insure that the term Roman Catholic was nowhere included in any of the Council's official documents about the Church herself, and the term was not included.
Similarly, nowhere in the 16 documents of the Second Vatican Council will you find the term Roman Catholic. Pope Paul VI signed all the documents of the Second Vatican Council as "I, Paul. Bishop of the Catholic Church." Simply that -- Catholic Church. There are references to the Roman curia, the Roman missal, the Roman rite, etc., but when the adjective Roman is applied to the Church herself, it refers to the Diocese of Rome!
Cardinals, for example, are called cardinals of the Holy Roman Church, but that designation means that when they are named to be cardinals they have thereby become honorary clergy of the Holy Father's home diocese, the Diocese of Rome. Each cardinal is given a titular church in Rome, and when the cardinals participate in the election of a new pope. they are participating in a process that in ancient times was carried out by the clergy of the Diocese of Rome.
Although the Diocese of Rome is central to the Catholic Church, this does not mean that the Roman rite, or, as is sometimes said, the Latin rite, is co-terminus with the Church as a whole; that would mean neglecting the Byzantine, Chaldean, Maronite or other Oriental rites which are all very much part of the Catholic Church today, as in the past.
In our day, much greater emphasis has been given to these "non-Roman" rites of the Catholic Church. The Second Vatican Council devoted a special document, Orientalium Ecclesiarum (Decree on Eastern Catholic Churches), to the Eastern rites which belong to the Catholic Church, and the new Catechism of the Catholic Church similarly gives considerable attention to the distinctive traditions and spirituality of these Eastern rites.
So the proper name for the universal Church is not the Roman Catholic Church. Far from it. That term caught on mostly in English-speaking countries; it was promoted mostly by Anglicans, supporters of the "branch theory" of the Church, namely, that the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church of the creed was supposed to consist of three major branches, the Anglican, the Orthodox and the so-called Roman Catholic. It was to avoid that kind of interpretation that the English-speaking bishops at Vatican I succeeded in warning the Church away from ever using the term officially herself: It too easily could be misunderstood.
Today in an era of widespread dissent in the Church, and of equally widespread confusion regarding what authentic Catholic identity is supposed to consist of, many loyal Catholics have recently taken to using the term Roman Catholic in order to affirm their understanding that the Catholic Church of the Sunday creed is the same Church that is united with the Vicar of Christ in Rome, the Pope. This understanding of theirs is correct, but such Catholics should nevertheless beware of using the term, not only because of its dubious origins in Anglican circles intending to suggest that there just might be some other Catholic Church around somewhere besides the Roman one: but also because it often still is used today to suggest that the Roman Catholic Church is something other and lesser than the Catholic Church of the creed. It is commonly used by some dissenting theologians, for example, who appear to be attempting to categorize the Roman Catholic Church as just another contemporary "Christian denomination"--not the body that is identical with the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church of the creed.
The proper name of the Church, then, is the Catholic Church. It is not ever called "the Christian Church," either. Although the prestigious Oxford University Press currently publishes a learned and rather useful reference book called "The Oxford Book of the Christian Church," the fact is that there has never been a major entity in history called by that name; the Oxford University Press has adopted a misnomer, for the Church of Christ has never been called the Christian Church.
There is, of course, a Protestant denomination in the United States which does call itself by that name, but that particular denomination is hardly what the Oxford University Press had in mind when assigning to its reference book the title that it did. The assignment of the title in question appears to have been one more method, of which there have been so many down through history, of declining to admit that there is, in fact, one--and only one--entity existing in the world today to which the designation "the Catholic Church" in the Creed might possibly apply.
The entity in question, of course, is just that: the very visible, worldwide Catholic Church, in which the 263rd successor of the Apostle Peter, Pope John Paul II, teaches, governs and sanctifies, along with some 3,000 other bishops around the world, who are successors of the apostles of Jesus Christ.
As mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles, it is true that the followers of Christ early became known as "Christians" (cf. Acts 11:26). The name Christian, however, was never commonly applied to the Church herself. In the New Testament itself, the Church is simply called "the Church." There was only one. In that early time there were not yet any break-away bodies substantial enough to be rival claimants of the name and from which the Church might ever have to distinguish herself.
Very early in post-apostolic times, however. the Church did acquire a proper name--and precisely in order to distinguish herself from rival bodies which by then were already beginning to form. The name that the Church acquired when it became necessary for her to have a proper name was the name by which she has been known ever since-the Catholic Church.
The name appears in Christian literature for the first time around the end of the first century. By the time it was written down, it had certainly already been in use, for the indications are that everybody understood exactly what was meant by the name when it was written.
Around the year A.D. 107, a bishop, St. Ignatius of Antioch in the Near East, was arrested, brought to Rome by armed guards and eventually martyred there in the arena. In a farewell letter which this early bishop and martyr wrote to his fellow Christians in Smyrna (today Izmir in modern Turkey), he made the first written mention in history of "the Catholic Church." He wrote, "Where the bishop is present, there is the Catholic Church" (To the Smyrnaeans 8:2). Thus, the second century of Christianity had scarcely begun when the name of the Catholic Church was already in use.
Thereafter, mention of the name became more and more frequent in the written record. It appears in the oldest written account we possess outside the New Testament of the martyrdom of a Christian for his faith, the "Martyrdom of St. Polycarp," bishop of the same Church of Smyrna to which St. Ignatius of Antioch had written. St. Polycarp was martyred around 155, and the account of his sufferings dates back to that time. The narrator informs us that in his final prayers before giving up his life for Christ, St. Polycarp "remembered all who had met with him at any time, both small and great, both those with and those without renown, and the whole Catholic Church throughout the world."
We know that St. Polycarp, at the time of his death in 155, had been a Christian for 86 years. He could not, therefore, have been born much later than 69 or 70. Yet it appears to have been a normal part of the vocabulary of a man of this era to be able to speak of "the whole Catholic Church throughout the world."
The name had caught on, and no doubt for good reasons.
The term "catholic" simply means "universal," and when employing it in those early days, St. Ignatius of Antioch and St. Polycarp of Smyrna were referring to the Church that was already "everywhere," as distinguished from whatever sects, schisms or splinter groups might have grown up here and there, in opposition to the Catholic Church.
The term was already understood even then to be an especially fitting name because the Catholic Church was for everyone, not just for adepts, enthusiasts or the specially initiated who might have been attracted to her.
Again, it was already understood that the Church was "catholic" because -- to adopt a modern expression -- she possessed the fullness of the means of salvation. She also was destined to be "universal" in time as well as in space, and it was to her that applied the promise of Christ to Peter and the other apostles that "the powers of death shall not prevail" against her (Mt 16:18).
The Catechism of the Catholic Church in our own day has concisely summed up all the reasons why the name of the Church of Christ has been the Catholic Church: "The Church is catholic," the Catechism teaches, "[because] she proclaims the fullness of the faith. She bears in herself and administers the totality of the means of salvation. She is sent out to all peoples. She speaks to all men. She encompasses all times. She is 'missionary of her very nature'" (no. 868).
So the name became attached to her for good. By the time of the first ecumenical council of the Church, held at Nicaea in Asia Minor in the year 325 A.D., the bishops of that council were legislating quite naturally in the name of the universal body they called in the Council of Nicaea's official documents "the Catholic Church." As most people know, it was that same council which formulated the basic Creed in which the term "catholic" was retained as one of the four marks of the true Church of Christ. And it is the same name which is to be found in all 16 documents of the twenty-first ecumenical council of the Church, Vatican Council II.
It was still back in the fourth century that St. Cyril of Jerusalem aptly wrote, "Inquire not simply where the Lord's house is, for the sects of the profane also make an attempt to call their own dens the houses of the Lord; nor inquire merely where the church is, but where the Catholic Church is. For this is the peculiar name of this Holy Body, the Mother of all, which is the Spouse of Our Lord Jesus Christ" (Catecheses, xviii, 26).
The same inquiry needs to be made in exactly the same way today, for the name of the true Church of Christ has in no way been changed. It was inevitable that the Catechism of the Catholic Church would adopt the same name today that the Church has had throughout the whole of her very long history.

THE SCATTERED SHEEP BECAME ONE FLOCK…
The Story of the Catholic Holy Scripture Group
Bro. Bong Lozano
One sunny morning after my class, I happened to be in a car going home with other students. Some one in the jeepney invited me to attend their bible study in the afternoon of that same day under the acacia tree in our school campus (NDU). I ask the students of her religion and she answered me, I am a Born again Christian. My eyebrow met when I heard the answer. I just nod my head; there at that moment, I ask my self, “What is in the bible that they are going to study?” So, when I arrived home I immediately went to my room and get a copy of our bible. I opened it and it was in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Moreover, I ask my self, “What does the message mean?” In searching the answers to my questions, I was able to organize a group of young students at my age for a bible sharing and study on the grassy ground of our school campus ministry. We were about two that time. We first met for bible sharing and study then the next meeting five and we were increasing in number. Almost twice a week we have our bible sharing and study. We have experience changes in our lives and inspired daily. It is as if we want to be with one another always. The word in the Holy Scripture is active in us. It became devotion in my daily life, to read and reflect on the scriptures. There I realized that slowly the questions in my mind were answered. The words of God in the Holy Scriptures became my daily bread. My life started to become more meaningful with the Lord and with my brothers and sisters in the group who gives me strength and inspiration.

Laurence Duffy and offer him the position of spiritual adviser and orient him of what the Catholic Holy Scripture Group is all about. And in July 14, 1986, he formally accepted the position as our spiritual adviser. From then on the CHSG starts to grow.
From CBSG, Father Larry, our spiritual adviser suggest that it will be change to CHSG or Catholic Holy Scripture Group which is known till today, which the main objective is evangelization through studying the scripture through the Catholic church.
We started with two Jessie and my self, Jessie’s friends came. Alma Pioquinto, Elizabeth Ong, Shirly Yap, and my neighbor, Lola Mary Cabagbag who is close to me,
And later, Ramon Villanueva and other classmates and friends joined us twice a week for our bible study and sharing every Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 p.m during our activity period. We do not have a regular place for our Bible study but we do have regular day and time for the said activity. Sometimes we were in the Notre Dame University Campus grounds “rain or shine”.
The group as infant organization, experienced lots of difficulties like a baby, trying to stand with out the help of a father or mother. No place to go for shelter, Nobody is taking care of. A baby who is looking for a father or mother to be loved and cared. That is what we felt during those days of infancy. We were all hungry and thirsty for God and His words. That is what a CHSGian must possess, Hungry for Gods Words and His love. Though we experienced lots of trials and difficulties, we were happy and we rejoice because we know the presence of God through His Holy Spirit is in us. In 1987 the CHSG were formally recognized after submitting all the requirements to the Office of Students Services and Campus Ministry of the school.
With all the smiles, love care and concern through the advices of our brothers and sisters we gain strength and inspiration to go on.

After all, our memories in college and in the CHSG will remain in our hearts and mind and it will be a marked, the sheep that was once scattered and lost became one flock, tamed, being cared and loved is now given the mission by the Shepherd to “Go into all the world and preach the Goodnews to all creation”. The experience of Gods love and care will be forever till death.
From two to hundreds of members from 1986 to 1990 is a good start in fulfilling the mission in Mark 16:15. We will be once again scattered not as lost sheep but as missionaries of the Word for the world. Not as students but young professionals, equipped with knowledge and wisdom, filled with Gods Holy Spirit. Most of our members became teachers, some are nurses, business men, and some went abroad to work.
The mission is just starting. CHSG chapters were organized in other schools, particularly in Notre Dame of Cotabato Boys Department, were I worked as a faculty member and campus ministry coordinator in the year 1990 and have hundreds of members till 1993. Notre Dame of Cotabato for Girls Department was Sis. Alma worked as guidance counselor; we went to Notre Dame of Pikit and Kabacan National High School to evangelized. In 1993 I transferred at Notre Dame Village High School and became the first campus ministry coordinator of a public school. Many students became active members till 1997. Ocampo College, St.Benedict College, San Vicente Academy and Rojas High School were among the blessed and chosen schools to hear Gods word Then we launched the first General Flock Activity one of the days in July 1993, in the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto auditorium with Fr. Dick Pommier, OMI, which is, “CHSG: Against the Current…” which aims to bring the youth to Jesus and not to follow the fad and the temptation of modernization that destroys the morality of man.. It was attended by hundreds of members of the CHSG chapters in the different schools in Cotabato City
The parable of the sower came true. Some seeds fell on the path, rocky ground, thorn bushes and others in good soil( Matthew 13:18-23)

Though we are all professionals and have our own families, we still gave time and effort in information dissemination and in contacting other members that the CHSG is revived.

Joel Cadelina, Notre Dame of Cotabato, under Bro. Ramon Villanueva and Sis. Evangeline Cadelina, Notre Dame University with Bro. Bernard Carmelo. Informally, our International CHSG chapters are having Bible study and sharing, in Qatar, Saudi Arabia under Sis. Francisnhel Cabarce, Victoria, Canada under Bro.
They are the first batch of the New Generation, “The Seven-Teens”
The fulfillment of the Holy Scripture and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is true and is on its way. As the sheep belongs to the flock, the flock belongs to Jesus the Good Shepherd. When He calls, lets us listen to Him, for the sheep knows His Shepherds voice, Go back wherever we are, and become One Flock in Gods Sheepfold.

Jesus promised us before He ascended to heaven, “…I will be with you always to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
The CHSG story and mission continues…

REVELATION OF THE THIRD PERIOD

“THE REVELATION OF THE THIRD PERIOD”
The Last Chapter of the Word for the World

Bro. Bong Lozano
April 13, 2009
Introduction
In the early months of 2008 the world was alarmed by the change of climate, the so called “global warming”, in other words the world is experiencing the effect of the angry nature and even man made calamities in almost all parts of the world.
Hurricane, cyclone, typhoons, flood, forest fire, draught, tidal wave and many natural calamities were experienced by the world.

In June 2008 the world was shocked by the news that there are about 20 thousand and more died because of an earthquake in China. And thousands of people were hurt and lost their homes, many were dead. War in Iraq and Afghanistan are still on going fighting with allied forces. Suicide bombers are on the loose attacking places and kill many innocent people adult and children alike. Israel fights against Afghanistan armies, in defending its territories. Terrible attack of terrorists in World Trade Center and Twin towers in United States of America where thousands of people died, the entire world mourns.
Africa is still suffering from dreaded diseases and people still starving for food, clothing and shelter. Many died due to malnourishment from adult to children though many Samaritans are helping them to survive.
Communist countries like Red China, North Korea, Russia, and United States of America are having some kind of misunderstanding regarding the power that they have. Nuclear weapons are continuously being used by these first world countries to stay as so called “powerful country” in the world.
Hail storm hit Baguio and other parts of the world and forest fire always hit Australia in early months of 2008 (Isaiah 30:30)
Tidal wave strike Thailand in 2007 and many were enjoying while having some fun on the beach that day and turned that joy to sorrow. Hundreds of people died they were swept by the raging waters and roaring waves of the sea. Thousands lost their love ones and their homes were destroyed and washed out by the angry sea.
Oil products increased in the global market. Primary commodities increased their prices. Here in the Philippines, Filipinos experienced rice shortage and increase of prices even in the places were rice is abundant. People find their way where to get or buy this primary food just to feed themselves and their families to stay alive. Even up to hurting each other and fighting each other just to have a kilo of rice to live.
Increase in fare of transportation, tuition fees and more became a threat of living to man and man can not described life as the greatest gift of God because of their personal sad experiences.
Summer of 2008 about 3 typhoons hit the Philippines one after the other in almost all parts of the country which is unusual. Earthquake and flood hit the country almost a week interval. World News says that other countries like United States of America were flooded and have experienced tornadoes. Houses, establishments, properties, and farms were destroyed by these calamities.
In the church, Pope Benedict the XVI went to United States of America to meet the church’s leaders because of the rampant problem on sex scandals, homo sexualities, ordination of female priests, and other church related problems and have some kind of dialogue for the solution of these immoralities in the country.
Financial crisis hit United States of America in the late months of 2008, many multi national companies and multi billion dollar corporations were bankrupt and forced to close its operations after operating for decades with having hundred of thousands of employees through out the world. The whole world is badly affected by the down fall of United States economy. Many people lost their jobs worldwide. Other countries got panic and have their emergency meetings with leaders of other nations to have contingency plans how to go about with the financial crisis that hit America. It has a global effect on economy and it affects the lives of many.
There are news that abortion, divorce, suicide, drug abuses, sexual abuses, contraception, and other worldly activities of man undoubtedly on the rise.
Scientists in the world are still giving the warning to the world that temperature continuous to rise, glaciers and snow in the north and south poles will continue to melt, as a result , water level in the oceans, seas, river, lakes and other body of water in the world will continue to go up. Most small islands in the world will be under water in the near future.

Dreaded diseases like AIDS, Bird Flu and Ebola virus has no effective treatment yet even up to this time. More diseases and viruses are coming out in the world which science can not explain yet.
There are new religions and denominations coming out claiming that they are the true church founded and inspired by God to save the world. Some says that they are the angels, prophet and even “son of God” of the new world. Many are being fooled and followed these teachings and beliefs. One religion attacks another religion. Making their followers doubt their faith. Transferring of one religion to another just to search for the truth. Others do not believe in God and so forth and so on. The world is in mess.
In spite of these issues and awful, terrible things that are happening in the world life must go on. We continue to do our day to day activities. Our daily routine in order to live. But oooops! Let us pause for awhile. What does the Holy Scripture says about all these things? Do we need to be alarmed? The prophet Jeremiah wrote in chapter 30:7, “A terrible day is coming; no other day can compare with it- a time of distress for my people, but they will survive”. It is written in Isaiah 30:27-33, “The Lord’s power and glory can be seen in the distance. Fire and smoke show His anger. He speaks and His words burn like fire. He sends the wind in front of Him like a flood that carries everything away. It sweeps nations to destruction and puts an end to their evil plans…there will be flames, cloud burst, hailstones and torrents of rain…the Lord will breath out a stream of flame to set it on fire” ” Howl in pain! The day of the Lord is near, the day when the almighty brings destruction. Every ones hands will hang limp, and every ones courage will fail. They will all be terrified and overcome with pain, like the pain of a woman in labor. They will look at each other if fear, and their faces will burn with shame. The day of the Lord is coming – that cruel day of his fierce anger and fury. The earth will be made a wilderness, and every sinner will be destroyed. Every star and every constellation will stop shining, the sun will be dark when it rises and the moon will give no light. The Lord says, “I will bring disaster on the earth and punish all wicked people for their sins. I will humble every one who is proud and punish everyone who is arrogant and cruel. Those who will survive will be scarer than gold. I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place on that day when I, the Lord Almighty, show my anger” Isaiah 13:6-13. Even the time of prophet Isaiah the Lord already spoke and gave His words, that time will come His anger will destroy the earth. All of these things are written in the Holy Scriptures and it is happening now and still to come.
Let us open ourselves to the truth and accept the reality that we are now on the last chapter of the Words of God. Be ready to open your minds and hearts to the Words of Jesus, “Yes indeed, I am coming soon!” Revelation 22:20; 22:7; 22:12

The Four Periods

There are actually four periods written in the scripture these are:
1) The Prophetic Period, 2) Messianic Period, 3) Judgment Period, and the 4) Period of New Heaven and Earth.
The prophetic period was during the time when God called out Moses, Abraham and other prophets in the Old Testament, “I chose you before I gave you life and before you were born I selected you to be a prophet to the nations” Jeremiah 1:4. “The Lord said to Abram, Leave your country your relatives and your father’s home and go to the land that I am going to show you” Genesis 12:1. Here God called Abram to leave everything and be God’s ambassador, a prophet. Prophets mission is to proclaim to the people God’s message. People must repent, turn to Him and obey God. Some accounts in the Old Testament points out to the New Testament and the end of times. The first chapter of the bible is actually called the Prophetic Period when God used the Prophets to proclaim that God indeed loves the world and that He will send a Messiah to save His chosen people, “…I will bring a ruler for Israel, whose family lines goes back to ancient times…when He comes, He will rule His people with the strength that comes from the Lord and with the majesty of the Lord God himself…” Micah 5:2-5, “A child is born to us; a son is given to us! And He will be our ruler. He will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, and Prince of Peace….” Isaiah 9:6-7, “….He will be called “The Lord of Our Salvation” Jeremiah 23:5-6. In Isaiah 9:6-7, “A child is born to us, A son is given to us! And He will be our ruler. He will be called, “wonderful Counselor”, “Mighty God, “Eternal God, “Eternal Father”, “Prince of Peace”. His royal power will continue to grow, His kingdom will always be at peace. He will rule as King David’s successor, basing His power on right and justice, from now until the end of time. The Lord almighty is determined to do all this.” The Messiah is coming. The savior of the world.
Because of sinfulness and disobedience of man to God, He sends His Only Son in the person of Jesus. God became flesh; The Word became Flesh, The Savior, the Messiah, and The Son of God. Jesus reveals the secret of the Father, His Constant Love, His Mercy and Salvation. Jesus fulfilled Gods commandments to man. Jesus died on the cross to tell the world how God loves the world. He wants that all men might be saved through the death of Jesus on the cross, as the sacrificial lamb. He offered His life to us for our salvation. But still man continuously commits sin. Jesus reveals that there will be Judgment before the Father in the end of times. The Messianic Period; Matthew 1:21, “She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus-because he will save his people from their sins”.” You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the son of the Most High God…” Luke 1:31-35 and in the gospel of John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…God did not send his son into the world to be its judge but to be its savior” Jesus is the Savior the promised Messiah. According to John’s gospel 3:36, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life…” Many of John’s writing tell us about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. Like the Samaritan woman in John 4:25-26, telling Jesus that she is expecting a Messiah to come, here Jesus told the woman “I am He, I who am talking with you” Jesus Himself the Son of God, The Messiah who lived among us,
Jesus himself revealed that there is heaven and hell and that there is an end to everything. He emphasizes that there is life eternal and eternal death. From the time of Jesus’ birth to His ascension in heaven, the Paschal mystery of Jesus, it is the Messianic period. Before Jesus died on the cross one of His last words was, “It is finished”, John 19:30. His mission as Messiah, the savior of mankind is done. He obeyed His Father and accomplished all His commands, but man did not believed His Son Jesus, but killed him and continuously commits sin up to this time even much greater than before.
The Third Period enters the scene. Our time, now! In the “End of Times”, The Judgment Period, which is the most horrifying, terrifying and awful period. The world will experience God’s anger, as man continuously commit sin and disobeying God, Gods wrath, “The End of Everything”, it is coming very soon, in God’s time. Jesus himself comes back from heaven to be our judge, sitted at the right hand of God the Father, sitting on the throne in majesty and splendor in power and might. He was given by the Father the authority and power to judge the living and the dead. He will separate the sheep from the goat, reward the obedient followers and throw the wicked people into the eternal flame of hell. We will discuss it the simplest possible way I can.

The Third Period Revealed

The First Phase:
Times of Troubles and Persecutions, the Days of Punishments
In Matthew 24:3-31, 36-44, Jesus talks about troubles, persecutions, terrible things to happen and His coming as the Son of Man, our judge. Here Jesus told the apostles of what will be the signs of the end of times.
1.)The coming out of false prophets and falls messiah, in which many will be fooled and will believe and follow them, Matthew 24:4-5, Mark 13:5, 21-23, Luke 21:8
2.) There will be battles everywhere, “You are going to hear the noise of battles close by and the news of battles far away…countries will fight each other…will attack one another” Matthew 24:6-7, Luke 21:9-10, Mark 13:7-8.

3.) Famines and earthquakes every where, Mark 13:8,” There will be terrible earthquakes, famines and plagues everywhere…” Luke 21:11. “…there will be famines and earthquakes every where. All these things are like the first pains of childbirth” Matthew 24:7-8.
It is written,” When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that it will soon be destroyed…for those will be, The Days of Punishment to make come true all that the scripture say…” Luke 21:20-24. These are just the Days of Punishment and Not yet the end.
4.) Persecutions among the followers of Jesus. It includes the apostles, disciples and Christians of our times. Matthew 24:9, “Then you will be arrested and handed over to be punished and be put to death. Everyone will hate you because of me”. Some supporting readings from Luke 21:12-17, Mark 13:9-13
5.)” Many will give up their faith “Matthew 24:10. There will be doubts and unbelief’s among the people and turns away from their faith and lives an unholy life. In 2 Timothy 3:1-9 in the last days there will be difficult times, “…people will be selfish, greedy, boastful and conceited, and children will insult and be disobedient to their parents, ungrateful and irreligious. They will be unkind, merciless, slanderers, violent and fierce; they will hate the good; they will be treacherous, reckless and swollen with pride; they will love pleasure rather than God; they will hold to the outward form of religion, but reject its real power…opposed to the truth…failures in the faith…how stupid they are.”
6.) Hatred, betrayal of one another, “…they will betray one another and hate one another” Matthew 24:10
7.) “…The coming out of the false prophets, will be the start to spread evil that many people’s love will grow cold” Matthew 24:11-12. False teachers will preach false teachings that will cause divisions among believers and unbelievers alike. Families will be divided among themselves, hurt each other until love will not reign within the family because of different beliefs, being preach to them.
8.)” And this Good news about the kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all people; and then the end will come” Matthew 24:14
These are the signs of the First Phase of the signs of the end of times. Again this is not yet the end. There is still time for repentance, turn back to God and obey Him. The Third Period may not happen if people will turn away from their sinfulness and return to God. “if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again” 2Chronicles 7:14. “If you return, I will take you back, and you will be my servant again…” Jeremiah 15:19

The Second Phase:
The Awful Horror

After the phase one of the signs of times, the awful horror takes place which is the second phase if man still disobeys God and continuously commits sin and turns away his back to God. These things will happen written in Luke 21:25-26, Matthew 24:15-29 and Mark 13:24-25.
1.)” For false messiahs and false prophets will appear, they will perform great miracles and wonders in order to deceive even God’s chosen people, if possible” Matthew 24:24
2.)” …The sun will grow dark…Matthew 24:9
3.)”… the moon will no longer shine…Matthew 24:9
4.)”…the stars will fall from heaven…Matthew 24:9
5.)”…and the powers in space will be driven from their courses”
Matthew 24:9
The awful, horrifying and terrifying events will happen before the coming of the Son of Man, as our judge. According to the gospel of Luke 21:25, “There will be strange things happening to the sun, the moon and the stars. On earth whole countries will be in despair, afraid of the roar of the sea and the raging tides. People will faint from fear as they wait for what is coming over the whole earth, for the powers in space will be driven from their courses”. “The day of the Lord will come like a thief and on that day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise; the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed and the earth with everything in it will vanish” 2 Peter3:10

This is the Second phase of the end of times in the Third Period. Man can not change the mind and heart of God when these things happen. There is no way out and No turning back. The time of penance and reconciliation with God has already ended.” The Lord, almighty is determined to do this; He has stretched out His arm to punish, and no one can stop Him” Isaiah 14:27.

The Third and Final Phase
The Coming of the Son of Man

Then, finally the signs of the coming of the Son of Man. The Final phase of the Revelation of the Third period
1.)” The great trumpet will sound “Matthew 24:31
2.)”Angels will be sent by Jesus to the four corners of the earth
Matthew 24:31
3.)”…and they will gather his chosen people from one end of the world to the other” Matthew 24:31 ”…and the people of all the nations will be gathered before Him” Matthew 25:32. It is very clear that who ever you are where ever we are we are not excused or exempted in the judgment of the Lord
4.)”…all peoples of earth will weep…” Matthew 24:30
5.)”…then the Son of Man will appear in the sky coming on clouds of heaven with power and great glory” Matthew 24:30-31. How will Jesus come and appear to us? “For the Son of Man will come like the lightning which flashes across the whole sky from the east to the west” Matthew 24:27. Just recall when we are still little children, when we hear thunder and lightning from the sky we tremble in fear and keep ourselves under the bed or blanket and even cover our ears and look for mom or dad for refuge? We can not do that during the judgment time. Nowhere to hide not even seek for refuge.
When the Son of Man comes as King and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His royal throne” Matthew 25:31. Jesus is our judge and our King. Everybody will tremble in fear when we see Him ready to judge us with His holy angels. “People will faint from fear …” Luke 21:26. This is the core of the judgment period.
In the book of the prophet Daniel 7:13-14, “During this vision in the night, I saw what looked like a human being. He was approaching me, surrounded by clouds, and He went to the one who had been living forever and was presented to Him. He was given authority, honor and royal power, so that the people of all nations, races, and languages would serve Him. His authority would last forever and His kingdom would never end”. In Revelation 1:7, “Look, He is coming on the clouds! Everyone will see Him including those who pierced Him…” “Then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord” 1Timothy 4:17 and in Luke 21:27 says, “Then the Son of Man will appear, coming in a cloud with great power and glory”. The prophet, Daniel wrote his vision of the judgment period, chapter 7:9-10. “While I was looking, thrones were put in place. One who had been living forever sat down on one of the thrones. His clothes were white as snow, and His hair was like pure wool. His throne mounted on fiery wheels, was blazing with fire, and a stream of fire was pouring out from it. There were many thousands of people there to serve Him, and millions of people stood before Him. The court begun its session and the
books were opened”.
6.)”Then He will divide them into two groups, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the righteous people at His right and the others at His left. Then the King will say to the people on His right, Come, you that are blessed by my Father! Come and possess the kingdom which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world” Matthew 25:32-34.
The gospel of Luke 21:28, “When these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your salvation is near”
When will these things happen? No one ever knows, its God’s own time and plan. Jesus said, “No one knows, however when that day or hour will come-neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son only the Father knows. Be on watch; be alert for you do not know when the time will come.” Mark 13:32-33.”Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man” Luke 21:36.The scriptures gave us the warning that …”it might be in the evening or at midnight or before dawn or at sunrise” Mark 13:35. Satan is using lots of strategies and has different kinds of ways how to make man becomes busy and pre occupied with so many things, so that man will forget about God. He is using material things to attract man away from God.” Be careful not to let yourselves become occupied with too much feasting and drinking and with the worries of this life or that day may suddenly catch you, like a trap. For it will come upon all people everywhere on earth” Luke 21:34. As what Jesus said, we do not know the day and time of the end of everything. It may be the time when everybody is working, studying, playing, eating, having fun, enjoying lots of gimmicks, in the church, in the room praying and even sleeping. What is important, we know that the end will surely come!
All that is written in the Holy Scriptures will come true. These words are being preached by the prophets during the prophetic period, being revealed by Jesus himself in the messianic period and is being prophesied and written by John the beloved apostle in the book of Revelation as revealed by Jesus Christ. Again, we believe that, it will happen. Jesus is the Son of God, He is our Lord we believe in Him because he is the Truth and He is the Word of God., “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words will never pass away” Luke 21:33. It is very clear that heaven and earth will end and The Word remains

forever pointing out to the gospel of John 1:1-5,”…the Word was God and with God…” and in Revelation 19:13, “The robe He wore was covered with blood His name is “The Word of God”. God is not a liar, Jesus does not lie. Therefore, the end will come very soon, in Gods time. “…these words are true and can be trusted. And the Lord God, who gives His spirit to the prophets, has sent His angel, to show His servants what must happen very soon” Revelation 22:6

The two periods written in the bible are already fulfilled. We are now in the Third period. The period of waiting for Jesus second coming not as savior but our judge and king. We are in the period of purging and cleansing. We experience all these persecutions and troubles in life because God wants to remind us that we have to acknowledge, go back and obey Him before, He will strike the world with His mighty wrath. We must be ready and prepared so that when Jesus comes again we may be able to stand up straight, holding our heads up high and look at Jesus in His glory and majesty. The question is, Are we ready to see Him in majesty and glory? Can we look at Jesus face to face if right now is the final phase of the third period?”…be on Watch” Mark13:32 and in Luke 21:36, “Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man” Jesus is always giving us the instruction on what to do, to be watchful and pray always to have enough strength in order for us to pass over all these things that is happening and is about to happen to the world.
“Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus on whom our faith depends from beginning to end…” Hebrews 12:2. In Jesus alone is our salvation and we hope always, doing what the Lord want us to do so that when that day comes we can stand firm in faith and say that this is the moment of salvation. St. Paul stressed in Hebrews 12:7 “Endure what you suffer as being a father’s punishment; your suffering shows that God is treating you as His children”. “Try to be at peace with everyone and try to live a holy life, because no one will see the Lord with out it” Hebrews 12:14. So, as followers of Jesus, we must always be in “waiting” of the coming of the Son of Man. Let us not give up our faith and hope that on the day Jesus comes, we can say “Here I am Lord…save me”
“The end of all things is near. You must be self-controlled and alert, to be able to pray…above everything, Love one another earnestly, because Love covers over many sins” 1Peter 4:7-8. "But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. . . . Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace" 2 Pet. 3:8–14.
The revelation of this period must serve as warning and give every Christian a hope that the end of times is the beginning of new life, Life with God, and in God for those who are faithful, and obedient to God, there is a reward awaiting you.

The Fourth Period
The New Heaven and New Earth

After the judgment period, The Fourth Period follows which is the period of peace and tranquility, joy, happiness eternal, “He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain.” Revelation 21:4. To all obedient and faithful followers of Jesus. The Period of New Heaven and New Earth. God made all things new,”…the old things have disappeared” Revelation 21:4, where He is the “Everything” in this period, “…God himself will be with them…” Revelation 21:3 the final destination of all people who experienced pain and suffering in the material world of man but remain faithful and obedient to God until death. Those people who survived God’s wrath and anger. The destination I called “God Himself”, where man will experienced the Wholeness, Holiness, and the Perfect Love of God, Perfect happiness, eternal joy in which man have never experienced here on earth. The new heaven and earth is the exact opposite of our earth and our world today, “…and now I will make all things new” Revelation 21:5. In Revelation chapter 21, John the beloved apostle wrote about his vision on new heaven and new earth, he described it “the Holy City”, “the New Jerusalem”, “God’s Home, God Himself will be with His people”, Revelation 21:1-3.” But nothing that is impure will enter the city, nor anyone who does shameful things or tell lies. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of the living will enter the city” Revelation 21:27 and John wrote, “Nothing that is under God’s curse will be found in the city” Revelation 22:3. The new heaven and new earth is described as, “…the city shone like a precious stone, like jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great high wall with twelve gates…the city’s wall was built on twelve foundation stones, on which where written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb….the city was perfectly square, as wide as it was long…the wall was made of jasper, the city itself is made of pure gold, as clear as glass…with all kinds of precious stones…jasper…sapphire…agate…emerald…onyx…carnelian… quartz…chalcedony…turquoise…amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls. The street of the city was of pure gold, transparent as glass. The city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God shines on it, and the lamb is its lamp…the gates of the city will stand open all day ; they will never be closed, because there will be no night there”
Green jasper Cornelian stones

Revelation 22:1-5, “The angel also showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, and coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb and flowing down the middle of the city’s street. On each side of the river was the tree of life, which bears fruit twelve times a year, once a month; and its leaves are for the healing of the nations…the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city and His servants will worship Him. They will see His face, and His name will be written on their foreheads. There shall be no more night, and they will not need lamps or sunlight, because the Lord God will be their light, and they will rule as kings forever and ever.” This is the vision of new heaven and earth in the book of Revelation which is about to come.

Some writings used the word “age” as they described the end of times. In this writing, “period” is used to describe specifically each stage in the end of times, so that the readers and the faithful followers of Jesus may fully understand, what really will happen in the world based on the Holy Scriptures, so that this reflection will serve as a light and guide so that we may live a truly Christian life, as we await for the second coming of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let us all be on Alert and Pray. Truly, Jesus is coming very soon, this is the faith that we proclaim and we have been waiting for. What we have to do is to be ready before that day comes, and it is Now! Do not wait for tomorrow for may be tomorrow is too late. Be an instrument of God to tell the world about the Truth being revealed by Jesus that there is an end for everything. It may be our physical death (Particular judgment- judgment after death) or the second coming of Jesus which is the final judgment.
Repent for the sins you have done, confess all your sins, and ask God to forgive you, renounce all the evil things you have done, then repair the damages your sins brought to other people. ask God for His mercy and reform your life according to Gods commandments. Love God above all and Love your neighbors as you love yourself. Let Jesus take control of your life and be obedient to Him so that when the day comes, He will welcome us into His kingdom.
May we see each other in the new heaven and new earth, Praising and Glorifying God with all the angels and saints, Forever and Ever! AMEN!
Maranatha, Lord Jesus !Come Lord Jesus, Make it quick! Come and Save us!

“Turn to me now and be saved, people all over the world, I am the only God there is “Isaiah 45:22

GODS WARNING TO THE WORLD

God's Warning to the World!

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

2 Peter 3:10-11
The LORD will cause men to hear his majestic voice and will make them see his arm coming down with raging anger and consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail.

Isaiah 30:30
In the fire of his jealousy the whole world will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live in the earth.
Zephaniah 1:18

The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

Revelation 8:7
A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths.

Revelation 9:18

This century is remarkable for the number of apparitions of Jesus and Mary. Our Lady of Fatima is perhaps the most well known, but since then, three separate visitations of Jesus and Mary stand out in terms of the importance of the message that was proclaimed.
In each case the message to us is that God loves us with infinite love and compassion, and calls all of humanity to a loving friendship with him by repenting of our sins and converting our lives into conformity with His commandments.
We are told that we must choose whether we will meet Him through the gates of His Mercy, or the gates of His Justice.
There are no other options: indifference or indecision is, in effect, a choice for God's Justice!
The following pages contain an outline of the Divine Mercy devotion, Our Lady of Akita, and the continuing apparitions of Mary, the mother of Jesus, at Medjurgorje.
The actual prophetic words concerning the warning are highlighted in yellow.
Our Lady of Fatima website
1. Divine Mercy Devotion
On October 5, 1938 a young nun by the name of Sister Faustina (Helen Kowalska) died in a convent of the Congregtation of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Cracow, Poland. She came from a very poor family that had struggled hard on their little farm during the terrible years of World War 1. She had only three years of very simple education. Hers were the humblest tasks in the convent, usually in the kitchen or the vegetable garden, or as a porter.
Divine Mercy Image
On Feb. 22, 1931, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ appeared to this simple nun, bringing with him a wonderful message of Mercy for all humanity. Sister Faustina tells us in her diary under this date: "In the evening when I was in my cell, I became aware of the Lord Jesus clothed in a white garment. One hand was raised in blessing, the other was touching the garment at the breast. From the opening in the garment at the breast there came forth two large rays, one red, and the other pale. In silence I gazed intently at the Lord; my soul was overwhelmed with fear, but also with great joy. After a while Jesus said to me: " paint an image according to the pattern you see, with this inscription: 'Jesus, I trust in you. ' "Some time later, Our Lord again spoke to her: " The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous; the red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls. These two rays issued forth from the depths of my most tender Mercy at that time when My agonizined heart was opened was opened by a lance on the Cross.... Fortunate is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him"
The Promise
Our Lord told her that He wanted this picture to be venerated and attached a promise to it:"I promise that the soul that will venerate this picture will not perish. I further promise to that soul victory over enemies here on earth and especially in the hour of death. I myself, shall defend that soul as My own Glory...." I will preserve the cities and homes in which this image shall be venerated."
The Chaplet
In 1933, God gave Sister Faustina a striking vision of His Mercy. She tells us: " I saw a great light, with God the Father in the midst of it. Between this light and the earth I saw Jesus nailed to the Cross and in such a way that God, wanting to look upon the earth, had to look through Our Lord's wounds. And I understood that God blessed the earth for the sake of Jesus." Of another vision on September 13, 1935, she writes: "I saw an Angel, the executor of God's wrath... about to strike the earth.... I began to beg God earnestly for the world with words which I heard interiorly. As I prayed in this way, I saw the Angel's helplessness, and he could not carry out the just punishment..."
The following day an inner voice taught her to say this prayer (The Chaplet) on ordinary rosary beads:"First say one 'Our Father', 'Hail Mary' and 'the Apostle's Creed'.Then on the large beads say the following words:
'Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.'
On the smaller beads you are to say the following words:
'For the sake of His sorrowful passion have mercy on us and the whole world'In conclusion you are to say these words three times:'Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. ' "
Jesus said later to Sister Faustina: "Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this chaplet even once, will receive grace from My infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy." Jesus told Sister Faustina to write down many things in over 600 pages of diary entries.
Mercy for All
(Webmaster's note: This section has been expanded to greater emphasise the Mercy of God which is greater than His justice. All quotes are taken directly from St Faustina's diary and paragraph numbers are included. The words of Jesus are in italics.)
"Write, the greater the sinner, the greater the mercy. Summon all those to confidence in the incomprehensible depth of My Mercy for I desire to save all. The Well of Mercy was opened wide with a lance on the Cross, for all souls. I do not exclude anyone...No souls that come to Me depart without being comforted"
1059. "Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let the weak sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of my mercy."
1146. "Let the greatest sinners place their trust in My mercy. They have the right before others to trust in the abyss of My mercy. Souls that make an appeal to My mercy delight Me. To such souls I grant even more graces than they ask. I cannot punish even the greatest sinner if he makes an appeal to My compassion.
1275 "Write that I am more generous toward sinners than the just. It was for their sake that I came down from heaven; it was for their sake that My Blood was spilled. Let them not fear to approach Me; they are in most need of my mercy"
1397. "The loss of each soul plunges Me into mortal sadness. The prayer most pleasing to Me is prayer for the conversion of sinners. Know, my daughter, that this prayer is always heard and answered."
1448. "Were a soul like a decaying corpse so that from a human standpoint, there would be no hope of restoration and everything would already be lost, it is not so with God. The miracle of Divine Mercy restores the soul in full. Oh, how miserable are those who do not take advantage of the miracle of God's mercy! You will call out in vain, but it will be too late."
1485. "I never reject a contrite heart"
1488. "You are dealing with the God of mercy, which your misery (sinfulness) cannot exhaust. Remember, I did not allot only a certain number of pardons."
1541. "Write this for the benefit of distressed souls: when a soul sees and realises the gravity of its sins, when the whole abyss of the misery into which it immersed itself is displayed before its eyes, let it not despair, but with trust let it throw itself into the arms of My mercy, as a child into the arms of its beloved mother. These souls have a right of priority to My compassionate Heart, they have first access to My mercy. Tell them that no soul that has called on My mercy has been disappointed or brought to shame. I delight particularly in a soul which has placed trust in My goodness."

End Times
Jesus said " Write down these words, My daughter. Speak to the world about My Mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable Mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it , will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My Mercy; let them profit from the Blood and water which gushed forth for them........ before I come as the just one, I first open wide the gates of My Mercy. He who does not pass through the gates of My Mercy must pass through the gates of justice.
Before I come as the just judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort:
All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be a great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Saviour were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day."
On a later occasion Our Lady appeared to St Faustina and said the following words: "I gave the Saviour to the world. As for you, you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful saviour, but as a just Judge. O how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still time for mercy. If you keep silent now, you will be answering for a great number of souls on that terrible day."
Blessings
Jesus told Sr. Faustina "Tell souls who spread the honour of my mercy I shield through their entire life and at the hour of death I will not be a judge for them, but the Merciful Saviour.
1540. "My daughter, write down these words: All souls who will glorify My mercy and spread it's worship, encouraging others to trust in My mercy, will not experience terror at the hour of death. My mercy will shield them in that final battle..."
The Hour of Great Mercy
Our Lord made this request of Sr. Faustina: "At three o'clock implore My Mercy especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in my Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world....In this hour I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion".
Feast of Mercy
Jesus told Sr. Faustina that He wanted a new feast to celebrate His Divine Mercy: "My daughter, speak to the world of My inexhaustible Mercy. I desire that this feast be a refuge and shelter for all souls, especially for poor sinners. The very depths of My Mercy will be opened on that day. I will pour out a sea of graces upon those souls that will approach the fount of My Mercy on this day. ...Let no soul fear to come to Me, even if its sins be as scarlet. This feast emerged from the bosom of My Mercy and is founded in the depths of My Mercies. I desire that it be celebrated with great solemnity on the first Sunday after Easter ...."Whoever receives the Source of Life ( i.e. goes to Holy Communion and Confession) on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment." Jesus asked that this feast be preceded by a novena, consisting of the recitation of the Chaplet for nine days preceding the Feast of Divine Mercy , commencing on Good Friday. " By this novena I will grant souls all possible graces"
Conversion Prayer
Jesus said: "I desire that you know more profoundly the love that burns in my heart for souls, and you will understand this when you meditate upon My Passion. Call upon My Mercy on behalf of sinners; I desire their salvation. When you say this prayer, with a contrite heart and with faith on behalf of some sinner, I will give that soul the grace of conversion."This is the prayer:
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You" To bring Jesus into the life of another person (name person), recite this in front of a picture of the Divine Image.
Chaplet of Mercy and the Dying
Jesus said,"Write that when they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just judge but as the Merciful Saviour"
Heaven
St Faustina also was given visions of heaven and hell. Of heaven she says: "Today I was in heaven in spirit, and I saw its inconceivable beauties and the happiness that awaits us after death. I saw how all creatures give ceaseless praise and glory to God. I saw how great is happiness in God, which spreads to all creatures making them happy; and then all the glory and praise which springs from this happiness returns to its source; and they enter into the depths of God, contemplating the inner life of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, whom they will never comprehend or fathom.
This source of happiness is unchanging in its essence, but is always new, gushing forth happiness for all creatures. Now I understand St Paul, who said "Eye has not seen, nor ear has heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him"
Hell
"Most of the souls there are those that disbelieved that there is a hell."
St Faustina was also shown hell: "Today I was led by an Angel to the chasms of hell. It is a place of great torture; how awesomely large and extensive it is! The kinds of torture I saw:
the first torture that constitutes hell is the loss of God;
the second torture is perpetual remorse of conscience;
the third is that one's condition will never change;
the fourth torture is the fire that will penetrate the soul without destroying it- a terrible suffering, since it is a purely spiritual fire, lit by God's anger;
the fifth torture is continual darkness and a terrible suffocating smell, and, despite the darkness, the devils and the souls of the damned see each other and all the evil, both others and their own;
the sixth torture is the constant company of satan;
the seventh torture is horrible despair, hatred of God, vile words, curses and blasphemies.
These are the tortures suffered by all the damned together, but that is not the end of the sufferings. There are special tortures destined for particular souls. These are torments of the senses. Each soul undergoes terrible and indescribable sufferings, related to the manner in which it has sinned. There are caverns and pits of torture where one form of agony differs from another. I would have died at the very sight of these tortures if the omnipotence of God had not supported me:
Let the sinner know that he will be tortured throughout all eternity, in those senses which he made use of to sin.
I am writing this at the command of God, so that no soul may find an excuse by saying there is no hell, or that nobody has ever been there, and so no one can say what it is like.
I, Sister Faustina, by the order of God, have visited the abyss of hell so that I might tell souls about it and testify to its existence. "

Subsequent History
One day in that same year, 1935, Sister Faustina wrote for her spiritual director: "The time will come when this work, which God so commends, [will be] as though in complete ruin, and suddenly the action of God will come upon the scene with great power which will bear witness to the truth. It will be as a new splendour for the church, though it has been dormant in it from long ago."
This indeed came to pass. On the 6th March, 1959, the Holy See, acting on information that was inaccurately presented, prohibited "the spreading of images and writings advocating devotion to the Divine Mercy in the form proposed by Sister Faustina." As a result, there followed almost twenty years of total silence. Then, on the 15th April, 1978, the Holy See, after a thorough examination of original documents previously unavailable to it, completely reversed its decision and again permitted this devotion. The one man primarily responsible for this reversal of decision was Karol Cardinal Wojtyla, the Archbishop of Sister Faustina's home diocese of Cracow. On October 16, 1978, he was elevated to the See of Peter as Pope John Paul II. Sr. Faustina was canonised on the 30th April 2000. God is indeed mysterious and wondrous in his ways!

You Can Receive God’s Mercy Now!
First of all we must admit to our sin and cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness. God will always respond with infinite compassion and merciful love to the sincere cry of one of his children and we are ALL his children.
Secondly we must turn away from sin and resolve to place our lives in the hands of Jesus and to place all our trust in Him, and to obey His commandments.Thirdly: Pray on a daily basis.
The Chaplet is an excellent form of prayer. Many people have testified that they have received great blessings and graces as a result of adopting the devotion to the Divine Mercy. One Brisbane, Australia man was facing major brain surgery and was also without a permanent job when he cried out to God for mercy and forgiveness for his many sins. Within a few weeks the surgery was cancelled and the condition gradually improved until the symptoms had completely gone. As well as that, he obtained permanent employment with a government department !
Mary has asked each of us to pray the Rosary daily.
Fourthly: Frequent Communion, daily if possible, and monthly confessionFifthly: Read the Bible on a daily basis even if only for a few minutes. The Bible is the Word of God, and He will speak to you in a powerful way through His Word.

2. Our Lady Of Akita

On April 22, 1984, after eight years of investigations, after consultation with the HOLY SEE, the messages of Our Lady of Akita were approved by the Bishop of the diocese. In the Japanese village of Akita, a statue of the Madonna, according to the testimony of more than 500 Christians and non-Christians, including the Buddhist mayor of the town, has shed blood, sweat and tears. A nun, Agnes Katsuko Sasagawahas received the stigmata and has received messages from Our Lady.

The extraordinary events began on June 12, 1973, when Sr. Agnes saw brilliant mysterious rays emanate suddenly from the tabernacle. The same thing happened on each of the two days that followed.
On June 28, 1973, a cross shaped wound appeared on the inside left hand of Sr. Agnes. It bled profusely and caused her much pain. On July 6, Sr. Agnes heard a voice coming from the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the chapel where she was praying. The statue was carved from a single block of wood from a Katsura tree and is three feet tall. On the same day, a few of the sisters noticed drops of blood flowing from the statue's right hand. On four occasions, this act of blood flow repeated itself. The wound in the statue's hand remained until September 29, when it disappeared.
Weeping statue of Mary at Akita
On August 13, Sr. Agnes received a second message. On October 13, (the anniversary of Our Lady's final appearance at Fatima) she received a final third message.
Two years later on January 4, 1975, the statue began to weep. It continued to weep at intervals for the next 6 years and eight months. It wept on 101 occasions.
Bishop Ito, in 1984, officially recognized the occurrence of the supernatural phenomenon and the Madonna's messages. Since then there has been a steady influx of pilgrims from throughout the world. Cardinal Ratzinger,(now Pope Benedict) received the Bishop of Nigata, John Shorijo Ito and judged the Virgin's messages as credible.
Here is part of the third message of Our Lady of Akita to Sr Agnes.
October 13, 1973
"My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior. As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will have never been seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.
The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church, in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate Me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres.......churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them."

3. Our Lady of Peace at Medjurgorje

In June 1981, the Blessed Virgin Mary was reported to have appeared to a number of young people in the vicinity of Medjurgorje in Yugoslavia. The extraordinary aspect of these apparitions are that they are continuing to the present day.Our lady has stated that she has come to call the world to urgent repentance and conversion to God. She gives us grave warnings that God's chastisement is soon to fall upon the world, but can be mitigated by prayer and penance. She asks each of us to pray the complete 15 decades of the Rosary daily, and to fast on bread and water on Wednesday and Friday.

Blessed Virgin Mary
She has given each of the seers several secrets concerning the future of the world. Each seer will receive ten secrets in all and when this has been accomplished, the apparitions will cease.
Medjurgorje has become a site of pilgrimage to hundreds of thousands of Christians, and numerous miracles of healing and conversion have been widely reported. The complete Medjurgorje story is beyond the scope of this leaflet, but has been well documented in many of the books that have been written on Medjurgorje.
In a report that Father Tomislav Vlasic sent to the Pope and to the Bishop of Mostar at the end of 1983, he gave a summary of the messages and warnings given by Our Lady to the seers:
"The ninth and tenth secrets are grave matters. They are a chastisement for the sins of the world. The punishment is inevitable because we cannot expect the conversion of the entire world. The chastisement can be mitigated by prayers and penance. It cannot be suppressed. An evil which threatened the world, according to the seventh secret, has been eliminated through prayer and fasting, Mirjana said. For that reason, the Blessed Virgin continues to ask for prayer and fasting: "You have forgotten that with prayer and fasting you can ward off wars, suspend the laws of nature".
After the first warning the others will follow within a rather brief period of time. So it is that people will have time for conversion.
This time is a period of grace and conversion. After the visible sign, those who are still alive will have little time for conversion. For that reason, the Blessed Virgin calls for urgent conversion and reconciliation."
The invitation to prayer and penance is destined to ward off evil and war and above all to save souls.According to Mirjana, we are close to the events predicted by the Blessed Virgin. Because of this, Mirjana says to mankind: "Convert yourselves as quickly as possible. Open your hearts to God"
Medjugorje visionaries in ecstasy as they see and hear Our Lady.

How You Can Help to Spread this Message

1. Every single person on this planet needs to hear this message. We can't do this on our own. Some people reading this site will be deeply convicted by what they have read. This is the Holy Spirit moving in their hearts and it may be that the Lord is calling you to be a watchman also. Please read the following scriptures from Ezekiel. They describe the role of the watchman.
2 "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, 3 and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, 4 then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. 5 Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.'
Ezekiel 33:2-6

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

1. Why did you build this site?

I built this site because of a phrophetic word I received while praying on a 3 day retreat in 1994. Part of the prohetic word I received has now come about, and I am now in a position to be able to promote the message. The word I received is in italics below:

My Son, I have called you to be a watchman to the house of Israel. These words tell of the coming wrath and holocaust. The nations have turned against me and follow their own idols, and so they will bring down on themselves my wrath.
I call you to be a watchman and warn the of the things to come; judgement and fire.

My Son, I call you to be a watchman.
I call you to be a faithful servant even if all around you are faithless.
Do not shrink from the task I call you to.
The world will be judged and found wanting and will be punished. You must warn men of the coming judgement or you will be accountable for those who may have heard and responded to the warning.
I will bless you financially so that you may accomplish this task. Be warned however; do not store up for yourself wealth and possessions for all will be consumed.
Give of yourself unstintingly and rely on me alone. Pray for a spirit of detachment from the finances that I will give you. Your task is to be a watchman to the house of Israel. Your temporal activities will serve only to promote My kingdom- to enable you to complete the task I have given you.
My mother will help you. Pray to her for your needs and she will intercede to Me on your behalf. I am unable to refuse My mother and I have given her to you as a great and precious gift. Devote yourself to her more fully, for she will help you carry out My wishes.
I love you. All is well. Trust in Me and pray always. All is well.

I had this word discerned by a priest who is now a bishop and he told me that there was nothing contrary to the Catholic faith in it.

2. Why do you have a picture of a meteorite impact on the top of your site?

This is purely my personal interpretation. In 1994 Comet Shoemaker- Levy collided with Jupiter with incredible force. See http://seds.org/archive/sl9/sl9.html. for pictures of the impacts. A similar impact with Earth would have caused incredible devasatation and wiped out a large proportion of humanity.
This was the first time in human history that we have been able to watch a major meteorite collision with another planet in real time! My personal view is that this was the Lord allowing us to see what could happen to us, however I stress that this is only my personal opinion. I have had no personal revelation on how it could happen.

3. Why do catholics worship Mary?

The short answer is that they don't. To worship Mary would be a grave sin for she is a created creature. To honour her is good and proper and pleases God. When Jesus was dying on the cross, he turned to John and said "Son, behold thy Mother". To Mary he said "Woman, behold thy son". In this way, Jesus indicated that Mary was to become our mother.
Jesus who was without sin, honoured His mother and He expects us to honour our earthly parents and our mother in heaven.

4. Why do Catholics pray to Mary? Why don't they go straight to Jesus?

As Christians, we think nothing of asking others to pray for us for particular needs such as healing, guidance wisdom etc. We all know of others who seem to have a special gift as intercessors. When catholics "pray" to Mary, what they are really doing is recognising her special gift as intercessor, and ask her to pray to Jesus for them and with them. To me (webmaster), Mary demonstrated her special gift most powerfully when she asked Jesus to help out with the lack of wine at the wedding feast of Cana. Jesus didn't really want to do this but he, as faithful son, carried out her request.
Protestant evangelicals use this method as well. When they need healing, they don't go straight to Jesus, but go straight to the tele evangelist, or the one with the healing ministry, and ask him to go to Jesus for them.

5. Isn't praying to Mary or the saints communing with the dead, which is prohibited in the bible?

Was Jesus communing with the dead on Mt Tabor when he was speaking with Moses and Elijah? Was he conducting a seance? Of course not. Jesus established a precedent where the faithful can ask for intercession for those we know to be in heaven.e.g. canonized saints.
Attempting to speak with the dead via mediums and the occult is expressly forbidden and is diabolical in nature.

6. Why cant we see the entries in the guestbook?

The feedback I get from the guestbook is 98% very positive and encourages me to go on. However, a small number of entries are full of curses and blasphemies from satanists and atheists. I dont want these to be displayed.

7. Why don't you respond to personal enquiries and questions?

I get far too many requests to answer personally. I am not a counsellor or debater. My role as a watchman is to sound the warning. Whether people respond or not is up to them. My duty is discharged by sounding the warning. Your duty is to respond.
